PROJECT OVERVIEW
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Young Nail Bar is one of Kelowna's most-reviewed nail salons — 4.8 stars across 622 Google reviews and a portfolio of nail art that genuinely stops people mid-scroll. The brief was a 60-second cinematic spot that matched the craft on their walls without falling into the usual salon-ad playbook of slow polish pours and before-and-afters. We built a story around a single human truth: when nails are this good, strangers ask where you got them done. The result is "In Line" — a coffee-shop-to-salon narrative that turns a chance encounter into a friendship, with the salon as the connective tissue.

The Challenge
The Challenge
Nail salons typically advertise with product shots and price points. The category is saturated with the same visual language: macro polish drips, hand close-ups, before-and-after splits. Young Nail Bar's work deserved a brand film that lived at the intersection of editorial fashion and feel-good storytelling — something that would stop the scroll on Reels and TikTok and actually make people want to book. The constraint: a one-week production window, fully solo, with no on-camera talent budget and no traditional shoot day.

WHAT WE DID
WHAT WE DID
We wrote, directed, and produced a 60-second narrative brand film with a fully AI-generated cast of four characters, each with locked physical descriptions, distinct voices, and consistent wardrobe across 15 scenes. Every nail design featured in the film was pulled directly from Young Nail Bar's actual portfolio. The salon interior, polish wall, storefront signage, and exterior were all matched to the real Kelowna location. Built in Higgsfield Cinema Studio with native lip sync, no ADR, and no music — the entire spot is carried by dialogue, sound design, and editorial cinematography. Shot in 9:16 vertical for Reels/TikTok and exported in 2.39:1 landscape for YouTube and web.
